Patty Hampton was finishing a post-doctoral fellowship at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency when her husband convinced her to take a night class in real estate. She was working in risk assessment after getting her PhD from New York University and her bachelor of science from Johnson C. Smith University, where she was the valedictorian.
"I absolutely loved it," she said of her night class. "I have been on a journey ever since with my husband (who is also licensed) to build a business that provides unmatched customer service by way of effective communication and expert counsel to every single client."
Patty says that her favorite part of the job is when the transaction is complete and "the client shares a testimony of complete gratitude. It is confirmation that the team has collectively succeeded in helping the client fulfill their real estate goal."
Patty considers herself a compassionate person, and that shows in her work. She takes the time to listen to clients to help them find the perfect real estate opportunity to meet their goals, whether that means selling their current home so that they may find their dream home, or purchasing the perfect investment opportunity.
When she is not helping clients, Patty can be found exploring downtown areas of the Triangle, such as at coffee shops or bookstores. She and her husband also like to visit the restaurants featured on the Guy Fieri show "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives." They are both foodies at heart and love to explore new cuisine around the Triangle and beyond.
